Lies, just lies - when will Robert Mugabe act?

When I say it does not help believing what Robert Mugabe says, some people think I am being fun. Mugabe is just talk and no action. The only time he acts is when he feels directly threatened. Such as in Edgar Tekere's case and in that of Simba Makoni.
As for other cases, nothing is done. I have quoted a few incidents below to show that Mugabe just talks and does nothing.

  • 2006: People want to acquire wealth through self-aggrandisement... these cases are increasing in number and we shall now be bound to have a campaign of cleansing the central committee," Mugabe told The Herald.
  • 2012: Mugabe said he had received complaints from former South Africa President Thabo Mbeki, who told him that business people from his country were being asked to pay money to certain individuals to guarantee and protect their investments in Zimbabwe.
“That is cheating and if I get information that so and so is doing this, he goes immediately.
“Unfortunately some of you do not want to reveal the people behind this, but if you hide them you are hiding corruption and there is no way we can correct it, but it is happening in the ministries.”
  • 2013: “[Goodwills] Masimirembwa, you got $6 million as bribe money from Ghanaian businesspeople and it is this we do not like and we do not want people who are corrupt,” Mugabe said in unusually direct remarks. The Zanu PF leader said he will not allow the case to rest, hinting that there could be an imminent arrest.
  • On obscene salaries in April 2014: Do not offend against regulations. We want a clean government and we will deal with corruption. I can assure you that we will not leave corrupt practices,” Mugabe said. An angry Mugabe then demanded the salary schedules of all parastatals and local authorities which revealed an astonishing trend in which executives allocated themselves huge non-taxable  benefits despite that all of these institutions were literally on their knees.
  • August 2014: "If there was any corruption, people will answer for it, I tell you. We will send them to prisons netai dzenyu idzodzo, munonodzibisirwa ikoko, momboenda kujeri, takamboendeswawo kumajere but takanga tisina corruption tairwira nyika, mombonobvumbiswa ikoko, majeri gadhi, zvese izvi vanozviita.
Only those who live in luxury funded by Zanu-PF see nothing wrong in this empty talk. This is what it has been since 1980 – indecisiveness, inaction, leaving the country run itself, while they are busy stealing.
Until when will this be?
