Grace Mugabe: Covering a festering wound with a dirty cloth

Saying that Grace Mugabe's election into the Zanu-PF women's league is a panacea for factionalism is like saying a festering wound, oozing puss can be healed by draping a dirty cloth over it.
The puss and blood will suck the dirty cloth in. Then cake around it. Making it difficult to remove when the time for genuine healing comes.
Zanu-PF is a festering wound. With boils. Puss. Diseased blood. It is smelly. Nauseating. Repugnant. And a threat to the next five generations.
How big is the fear of change which makes even learned men choose ridiculous solutions? How stupid are we such that we run away from real problems and opt to cover them up?
At least by admitting that Grace Mugabe will stop factionalism is an indirect acceptance of the rot that has been gnawing away at Zanu-PF for years. But which was denied. Only now that the wound has festered beyond concealment, we read about some people within the party leading factions.
It's interesting to know which faction is Grace Mugabe leading. Surely, it's not Robert Mugabe's faction. It can't be. This leaves one belief – that the faction that brought up Grace Mugabe's name want her for themselves. Them Oppah Muchinguris. Chris Mutsvangwas. And the cowards who cannot challenge Joyce Mujuru. They fear her so much that their only way of fighting her is to drag in Robert Mugabe's wife.
And although Chris Mutsvangwa spoke about Didymus Mutasa not having been on the frontline, his faction that wants Grace Mugabe talks about the marvelous work she has done for the country. Are we that stupid? She has done whatever she has done because she has the money. The resources at her disposal to do as she wishes. The reason why some women who have projects cannot do anything is because they do not have the resources.
This is a race which Grace Mugabe is running alone. And to say that Grace Mugabe must sit at the top table because of her benevolence is the worst and most unconvincing reasons ever.
Now I understand why Mutsvangwa is still deputy minister despite having been on the frontline and having a penchant to use jawbreakers.
Why can he deride Mujuru for not being the only comrade in one breath and then support Grace Mugabe who never went to war in another?
The festering wound that is Zanu-PF needs more than Grace Mugabe to heal. An old man does not need a young wife to make him a teenager again. If Zanu-PF is serious with ending factionalism, it must live in the present. Forsake this whole 'who fought in the war' shit. That does not put food on our table. Zanu-PF must stop this fixation with the Mugabes. Stop buying faces with them. This includes the media that is being used.
